Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. She spent most of her childhood listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs and classic classical music. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. As a student and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. After moving to the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She has been involved with a number of local organizations and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
