MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. He then was a part of Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. The group released Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the following year. In 2021, he also performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar and piano. In spite of initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
